主要研究内容：（1）生物多样性维持机制的研究：重点探索随机性与生态位分化在群落结构组建中的作用。 （2）植物繁殖生态学：植物大小依赖的性别资源分配和繁殖分配，交配系统和生活史进化。 （3）理论生态学：数学建模分析各种生态学过程的逻辑后果；作物生长冗余理论及其在农业中运用
